Foal Rescue
We have several mares that will take on an orphan foal. We also will attempt to bottle feed. Anything to keep the foal alive. If you have a mare that dies in birthing, clip some of her mane or tail so the foal will have her scent when transitioning. (if she has a blanket that she has used that is even better) We have rescued two foals successfully so far and welcome others. We also freeze colustrom during the birthing season if colustrom is needed in an emergency.
